Privacy Notice
Last updated:
This notice explains how personal data is processed when you visit utera.co or contact UTERA, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and, for visitors in Türkiye, Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK).
1. Who is responsible
The controller is [UTERA legal entity name] (“UTERA”), [registered address]. Contact: info@utera.co.
2. What we process
- Contact details you share with us — name, e-mail address, phone number.
- The content of your messages sent by e-mail, WhatsApp, LinkedIn or Instagram.
- Technical data recorded automatically in our hosting provider’s server logs when you visit the site — IP address, date and time, browser information.
With your consent, we use Google Analytics and Hotjar to measure and improve the site. They collect usage data such as pages visited, clicks and scrolling, device and browser information, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. We use no advertising tools. See our Cookie Policy.
3. Why, and on what legal basis
- To answer your enquiry and take steps at your request before entering into a contract — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
- To meet legal obligations, such as accounting and record-keeping — Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
- To keep the site secure and working — our legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- To measure and improve the site with Google Analytics and Hotjar — your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time with “Cookie settings”.
4. Who receives your data
Service providers acting on our behalf (website hosting, e-mail; and, if you have consented, Google for Google Analytics and Hotjar Ltd. for Hotjar), and public authorities where the law requires it.
If you contact us through WhatsApp, LinkedIn or Instagram, those platforms process your data under their own privacy policies, and may do so outside the European Economic Area. Where we transfer personal data outside the EEA ourselves, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. How long we keep it
Only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, and for any period required by law. After that it is deleted or anonymised.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw any consent you have given at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Türkiye, the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK).
We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling.
7. Contact
To exercise your rights or ask a question, write to info@utera.co.
